While doing a bit of uncluttering today, I ran across a plastic bag of Lincoln Logs. Not sure what set, and no instructions, so just built.

Nice little bit of therapeutic play in a difficult week.

It is simply not possible to build an exact replica in miniature - especially with simple construction toys. How much can you leave out and still have a satisfactory model of the original?I can get stuck in the planning phase forever, trying to figure out how to make a model better. With the addition of set 4A one has set 6, albeit in two small box instead of one standard box, and with a few extra duplicated stones to fill out the box rectangles.Which means that all set 4 plans can be built with set 6, with many leftover blocks.
